Documents live under content/ as UTF-8 Markdown with YAML front matter.

Processing order:

1. gray-matter reads metadata
2. Nunjucks expands DAVIT and other bindings
3. remark + GFM converts the result to HTML

Front matter fields:

Field	Purpose
title	Heading and navigation label
description	Short summary
section	Sidebar group
order	Sort key
visibility	public or private

Private files belong in content/docs/private/. Middleware requires a signed session cookie before those routes render.
